Designer Ken Fulk Gives us a Tour of His Cape Cod Retreat

September 27, 2012 Filed under: The Buzz

Over the last 12 years, Ken Fulk has become one of the Bay Area’s most celebrated interior designers. Working on projects everywhere from Aspen to the south of France, he has won many plaudits for his bold, original designs. By emphasizing clear, uncluttered interior spaces and modish, European-style details, Ken has developed a style that is both elegant and innovative. In this video from HouseBeautiful.com, Ken takes us on a tour of his gorgeous vacation home in Provincetown, Massachusetts.

With a breathtaking view of the ocean, this New England-style house provided the perfect canvas for Ken to develop one of his original designs. He found a unifying theme that suited both the home and its location. Taking the nautical theme to its natural conclusion, he provided each room with old-fashioned maritime furnishings, including antique paintings, vintage signs, and lantern-style lamps that would be at home on any 19th century vessel. The layout of the house remains pleasantly sparse, with plenty of open spaces. To see this original creation for yourself, watch the clip.
